ERRORS THAT MIGHT COME UP

DeLIver is a new, experimental system and can be expected to run into a few problems now and again. This is a list of some error messages that others have reported (which the developers are working on fixing) and what to do if you see them:

1. Parser message - select "OK," not "cancel."

2. "undeclared element" is a common error. Select "OK" , - don't cancel- and the article will come up.

3. "not found" - select "OK"

4. get tags all over article in Panorama - Go the menu bar and deselect "show tags" under "options".

5. "IDREF"s- Using the hyperlinks for references . Panorama is a new software program and some of it's "features" may look like problems. Especially common is when clicking on the "bull's eye" icon with either a reference or a figure. This will take you to the spot in the text where this reference or figure was mentioned. If it was mentioned in more than one place in the article, a box will pop up asking you to select two or more "IDREF"s or "TIE CHILD's". Select one and it will bring you back to that spot in the text.

OTHER TROUBLE

Try this sequence with other problems, or the system "freezing":

hit enter
re-load the screen (using your Web browser or Panorama)
control-C key combination
re-run the programs
re-boot your machine
