Image Retrieval: Plans and Issues
For Blobworld:
- Use normalized cuts as the segmentation engine.
- Add query-by-sketch interface.
- Allow querying based on relative configuration of blobs.
- E.g., (blob1 above blob2) left-of (blob3)
- Compute and retrieve by shape descriptors for each blob.
For body plans:
- Build “many-body” plans (i.e., general schemata)
- Using additional descriptors
- Fusing body plans with Blobworld
- a basic theory of descriptors
